My name is Roland Miranda. I am Filipino-American. We migrated to Texas in 1985. I am married and we have two sons. Our eldest, Marcus was called to heaven in 2009, when he was 24. Our youngest Alex is 26 and is happily married. My wife Patricia and I have been married for 28 years. I chose to be a surrogate consultant because when we lost Marcus he created a whole in our family. We thought about adopting and surrogacy. It was a heavy emotional decision, but we knew we cannot just plug a child in that gaping gap in our hearts. Once we realized that having the opportunity to be a parent to Marcus and Alex was a great opportunity not all of us get. That's when I started thinking of helping individuals or couples gain the chance to being a parent. Plus I know two women that were surrogates and they said that is one of the biggest accomplishment they have.
